- My name is Paula, I am 18 years old and I am a missionary to the Philippines. I created this blog to write what I am learning as a young missionary and to write about the sort of things that go on in this ministry in the Philippines. "learning to stand" - I chose this name because of the the verse "if you do not stand firm in your faith, you will not stand at all." Everyday as we work and minister here in the Philippines we are living proof of that verse. With every step I take here I am learning to trust that God does have it all under His control and that He will not leave us. I am in a way learning to stand...to stand firm in my faith fighting the good fight. Questions and comments are welcomed.
